CREAM GRID BLANKET

CREAM GRID BLANKET

99.00

These virgin wool throw blankets come in a variety of patterns and are each made in the mountainous, pine tree-filled region of Central Mexico. Traditionally used as a serape (shawl), they are the standard garment of the vaqueros (cowboys) for shielding themselves from the cold when riding at night. Made with the softest and highest quality wool, they are undyed and untreated. Any slight imperfections are due to the nature of this delicate hand process. Sling it over your couch or bed, or even use it as a shawl. Measures 40 x 82 inches. Made in Malinalco, Mexico.

Working with master artisans, traditional Mexican techniques and locally sourced materials, this company strictly adheres to the guidelines of the World Fair Trade Organization. It is part of the "slow" movement, focused on creating low-impact, socially and ecologically responsible high-end goods. While it has become an internationally recognized brand, it continues to pursue the same practices it has implemented from the start and has not moved from its tucked-away location in the mountains of Central Mexico. Located in a town that is known as a place of magic, named after the goddess Malinalxóchil.
